Japanese University of Tsukuba research: oral administration of NMN can improve physical strength and relieve fatigue in the Old Man

Physical decline, easy fatigue is a common phenomenon in the middle-aged and Old Man groups, which is related to the decline in the level of body metabolism. NMN supplier

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a key coenzyme in energy metabolism in organisms,

and increasing its level may help to increase the metabolic activity of the body,

thereby improving the energy of middle-aged and older people.

This conjecture was tested in a 2022 human clinical study at the University of Tsukuba in Japan,

the results of which published in the journal Nutrients.

NMN In the experiment

the researchers screened 108 Old Man subjects over the age of 65 and divided them evenly into four groups,

in addition to the control group taking an equal amount of placebo, and also looked at the effect of the time of day (AM or PM) of taking NMN.

The dosage of NMN is 250mg/ day for 12 weeks, and the detailed procedure is shown in the following figure.

The results of the experiment showed that although taking NMN did not significantly improve the sleep condition of the Old Man, it could effectively improve their physical strength level.

In the “5 times sit and stand” (5-STS) test, subjects asked to sit and stand five times as quickly as possible while holding their hands over their chest.

Those taking NMN took significantly less time than those in the control group.

NMN also reduced fatigue sleepiness in the subjects and made them more energetic.

In summary, this human clinical trial found that taking NMN in the Old Man can effectively improve physical strength and energy,

and may help people have a better quality of life in old age.

This experiment also found that taking NMN in the afternoon (specifically from 12 noon to bedtime at night) had a better energy boost effect.
